To add new users/agents to WPL you need to first add that user to WordPress. Simply go to Users->Add new and add the user. Then go to WPL->User manager and click on the "Tick" icon for adding the user to WPL as an agent.

Note: In newer versions of WPL, users that have not been added yet, won't show by default. You should search them to see them. Please find below figure.

 

Note: WPL Membership addon has a feature for automatically adding all new users to WPL users. Please check this KB article.

To solve this error, you would need to add a WordPress user as a WPL user (normally your own user) and authorize the correct access level to the added user.

You can find this setting by following this path: WordPress back-end > WPL > User Manager

Also, your user should have access to "propertymanager" and "propertywizard" for managing listings. You can set these accesses for both users and memberships using User Manager and Memberships menu. You would need our Membership add-on for this purpose.

To create an Agent Profile show page, simply go to "WordPress pages" and add a new page. Then click on the [W] icon (WPL shortcode wizard) and set the parameters like the screenshot below:

You can leave the "User" option empty if you are going to use this page as a target page in an Agents Profile listing page.

If you are not using SEF URLs or WPL, you should insert a single property page as a target page in the "Target page" option.

For creating an Agent Profile Listing page, you can use the WPL shortcode wizard. Please set the parameters like the screenshot below:

If you are not using SEF URLs or WPL, you should insert a Profile Listing Page (shown above) as a target page in the "Target page" option.

]]> <![CDATA[Getting error "You don't have access to this part!" on listing pa...]]> After you move/restore your website to another server, if you get error "You don't have access to this part!" if the user is not logged in, you should change Guest user access from database. 

Go to database > [wp_prefix]_wpl_users table and set the Guest user id = 0.

 

]]> <![CDATA[How to add new data fields for Agents?]]> You can add your desired fields to profile of agents in WPL using WPL->Flex->User menu. In this guide, we're going to add a new URL field for holding Facebook Page of the agents.

1- Open the WPL->Flex->User menu.

2- Select "URL" as field type and then click "Add" button. You can select other field types based on your need.

3- Fill the data field form and save the new field.

4- New field is created, now you can move it to your desired position. Also you can edit it whenever you like.

5- New field is added under profile page of agent. It also will show on frontend profile if you're using WPL Membership addon or a frontend profile menu.

Also data of new field will show on "Agent Info" activities of WPL on frontend. Including agent info on PDF flyer, Property Details page and Profile Details page of agents.

]]> <![CDATA[How to block access or logged in users / agents to website backen...]]> If you like to disable WordPress dashboard / Backend access for some certain users or users by their role, You can do it using some third party plugins. You should be able to find some here or by searching on Google. For example you can use this free plugin.

Note: We don't recommend you to do it if you really don't need it. Also we're not responsible for those plugins and the potential problems that they may create on your website, You should do it on your own risk.

]]> <![CDATA[How to change user/agent of a listing]]> With the WPL 1.3.0 upgrade, you can now change the listing agents on the listing manager menu. You can also select mass agents. Please see the screenshot below:

If you are the admin of the website and cannot see this option in the listing manager, you should activate the "Change User" access for your user. Please go to "User Manager" and click on the "Edit" icon of your account and activate "Change user".

]]> <![CDATA[How to create a profile search/agent search widget on WPL agents ...]]> If you have many agents and you want to provide search ability for your agents you can use "WPL Search Widget" for users. Navigate to Appearance->Widgets and place WPL Search Widget into "Profile Listing Top" position (or any position that you like).

Note: For this you should have WPL Membership addon.

After placing the widget, set the kind to "User" and select your agents page as target page. Please check following figures:

]]> <![CDATA[How to hide WordPress toolbar / website top bar for agents?]]> WordPress has a powerful toolbar on frontend but sometimes you like to hide it for your website logged in users or agents. It's not something that can be done by WPL but you can use some third party plugins for hiding the toolbar.

You can find many third party free plugins here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/search/Hide+toolbar/ For example using this plugin you can hide the Admin bar for certain user roles. If you want to disable it only for your website users or agents, then you can select subscriber role. Normally registered users' role is subscriber unless you configure your website in a different way.

]]> <![CDATA[How to update Agents' profile information?]]> For updating agents' profile, you can click on their username in WPL->User Manager menu. Please check following figure.

]]> <![CDATA[No agent is showing on the agent/profile show page / Hiding an ag...]]> WPL has a feature for specifying the showable agents/profiles on the listings pages and agents widget. If you want to hide or show an agent/profile in the agents/profiles listing pages or agents widget, please use this option.

This option is named "Public Profile" and you can check/uncheck it using the WPL user manager or WPL memberships (For WPL PRO). Go to WPL->User manager and click on the "Edit" icon of desired user to see the public profile option.

By checking this option, the users will show on the profile listing page and agents widget, and by unchecking it, the users will be hidden.

]]> <![CDATA[Non-logged in (Visitors, Guests) users cannot view the listings. ...]]> In WPL PRO you can manage guest/visitor users' access. You can block their access to single property pages, property listing pages, etc. Go to WPL->Memberships and edit Guest membership and set your desired access and click on "Save and update all members" button.

This feature needs WPL Pro + WPL Membership add-on.

If you don't have WPL PRO, you can change guest access directly from database->[wp_prefix]_wpl_users table. Edit id=0.

]]> <![CDATA[What are the different options for user's access on user manager?]]> You can control the access level of users of your website:

Go to WPL -> User Manager -> Click on the edit icon of the user whose access level you would like to change.

A brief description of the options is provided below:

Property Wizard: If this option is selected, the user can open the "add listing" page.

Property Show: If this option is selected, the user can see the property details.

Property Listing: If this option is selected, the user can see the properties.

Profile Wizard: If this option is selected, the user can change his/her profile.

Confirm: If this option is selected, the user can confirm/unconfirm his/her property.

Property Manager: If this option is selected, the user will have enough access to manage his/her properties.

Delete: If this option is selected, the user can delete his/her properties.

Public profile: If this option is selected, the user's profile will be visible on the Agents (profile listing) page.

Change user: If this option is selected, the user can change the owner of his/her property.

Receive Notifications: If checked then user is able to receive email / SMS notifications of WPL.

Clone: If checked then user is able to clone a property on listing manager menu.

Property Stats: If checked then user is able to see property stats menus.
