How to customize email templates?

If you want to change texts and placeholders of WPL notifications, you can simply do it using WPL -> Notifications menu and edit your desired notifications. You're able to rewrite the default texts, include your own texts to the emails and also change position of placeholders.

But if you want to apply an HTML template to the emails, you should use some third party plugins. You can search for HTML email in WordPress Plugins repository or other markets such as Envato etc. If you use a working HTML plugin then all of your WordPress emails (Including WPL emails) include to the template that you choose or design so it's so simple. You just need to find and install a working HTML email plugin for your WordPress website.

If you're a developer and you want to apply the HTML template yourself, you can find a tutorial very simple like the following tutorial.

BTW, if you're looking for a way to change email sender and sender name of WPL notifications, you can check following article for more information.
