How do I configure WPL menus?

Posted by Howard R. on 31 March 2014 03:48 AM

There are 2 different ways to create the WPL menus on the frontend:

1) Create all the menus separately and link the pages together via the target page

This method is not recommended. read more ...

2) Create the menus by using the WPL SEF feature (recommended)

Using the SEF feature of WPL is recommended because it will greatly improve your SEO.  As well, the linking scenario is automatic using this method.  To use this feature, WordPress permalink settings must not be set to default.  Also, the .htaccess file must be available on your WordPress root file.  By using this method, WPL will link the pages together automatically.

Note: if you are using this method, ignore target page options in WPL shortcode wizard and widgets.

Please create the following pages and configure the WordPress permalink settings and WPL main permalink settings like this:

Main Page Required Config
Property listing [WPL] Put this page permalink into the WPL main permalink setting. Check the following screenshots.
Profile/Agent listing [wpl_profile_listing] No config is required.
